Preparing for the Season
- Preparing for the draft is one of the most exciting and important steps to having a competitive team?
- Once you register and your team name has appeared on the leaderboard in your conference
it's time to decide who you want on your 15 skier roster. Before you start to draft it's
important for you to study the skiers. Although you may know who you want as your top 10
skiers you may not know when it comes down to skiers numbers 10-15.
The Draft
- Now your ready, you have researched, studied, and reviewed who you want to ski for your team, now its time to draft your team
- Each skier is worth so much money and you select a 15 skier team. You have a set salary cap to spend on your team. If you should choose not to select any skiers you will be defaulted a team by the FWS computer. However, for the best chance to win we suggest you select your skiers.
Scoring Tournaments
- Now that you've drafted your team is ready for action. Fantasywaterski.com has selected a number of tournaments to use towards team points this season.
- Tournaments can be deleted or added at the discretion of FWS.com
- Check out the list of scoring tournaments
Playing the season
- Now that you have your 15 skier roster you may want to make some changes depending on
which tournament is coming up. This can be done in two ways:
1)You can drop and add skiers to your roster. After your first tournament all moves will cost $250,000 per move per event. Keep this in mind when drafting your team to make sure you leave some salary cap room for these moves. 2)You can add a skier to our database which is not in any FWS list, all skiers added will have a salary value $500,000
- Depending on the tournament, you will place a number of your rostered skiers on the STARTING DOCK and send the rest back to the practice lake, only those that you activate will count towards team points. This is where strategy comes in.
- All trades, moves, and active rosters must be completed by certain deadlines for each
tournament. To see how many skiers you can put on the STARTING DOCK for each tournament and
to see all the deadlines head over to the schedule. .
Scoring
Wondering how to win this game? Well here's how the fantasy league scores.
- Each team consists of active skiers referred to as skiers you send "to the STARTING DOCK" and inactive skiers referred to as skiers you send "back to the practice lake"
- Scoring will be different for each tournament. Scores will count for each round your STARTING DOCK skiers compete in. Exactly how each tournament is going to score can be reviewed on the Scoring page.
- Each teams worst 2 tournaments will be dropped. The team that accumulates the most
points in their conference at the end of the season is determined the conference champion.
The team that accumulates the most points out of all the Fantasy players at the end of the
season is determined Fantasy Waterski Champion
